V1)
The floors, connected to the doors, lined with walls, held up by fools,
The lights, jangling in the breeze, if god asked for this, he never said please
As time and all it's friends, lay ambush on the huamn race, we don't know where to run,
We drop one by one, like numbers from a chart, no connection to the world anymore, no human heart
And as the weather settles in for another cold harsh winter, what can the human mind do but splinter,
C)
The city abyss, we are passengers of, enslaved to, lost to, gone to.
A Concrete Jungle, and we're swinging from the building tops,
A dream burnt in the dust, fading away like the way things must,
A candle with no wax left, a starlight without any hope of time.
A gentle vaccume we wander through, only it's not so gentle,
more the product of a mind gone mental, more the design of a over drugged cattle,
Verse 2)
If god knocked on my door, I'd turn him away, leave him wonderin who the hell i was.
For I know his name, and his name is death. To create life, just to take it away.
Is that the act of divine beauty? Or a sickness of total brutal cruelty.
You think he loves you? Tell me that again on your deathbed. if you can.
This life is tragic, we all believe in magic, yet there is none, and never was.
C)
A marble rolls down the hall, hitting walls and bouncing up and down,
it reaches the dry ground of earth, and out the vaccume, out the exhaust
I see starlight no more, i see only darkness. I see sunlight no more, only a black hole.
As the universe merrily goes on, happy to be it's evil self. absolute power corrupted completly.
How many more people have to die, before god wakes up and see his sky.
