Getting Through

Verse 1)

The finger tips of the sun, find me never, find me no one,
I ride the waves of indifference, treat my life like cold science,
But the truth is naked and bare, there are no stars without you there,
Just empty skies, above empty eyes, and all my soul can do is theorize
Why we were never, why the days are nights, and the nights are darker still,

Verse 2)

They say love finds you at the eclipse of need, as your hunger for life dies on the drip feed,
They don't know what they're talking about, they live in the clouds and never look down,
A man dreaming of being with a person worth having, a soul worth loving, a dream worth taking,
All the pills in nirvana, can not stop my chills, just the silly little things like the way you smile,

Chorus)

Getting through to you, is the one thing my intellect has no idea how to do,
Understanding this life and why you're not here, that is the one thing I can not hear,
And maybe i'll walk into the dark night, and there will be only heaven's light,
Or a dark destiny of measured erasure, like time's closure, or the life of treasure
But getting through to you, where ever you are, is like finding a distant star,

Verse 3)

And all the gods and all the human sods, all the numbers, all the letters,
just fade into oblivion, when I think of the human in a million, or is it a trillion?
And my heart beats like a drum in a cage, as my gentle love turns to quiet rage,
and why I do not know you, is a thing I'll never understand, as my body is kept together by a rubber band,
I must be blind or silly, to think of you, but maybe you're just that special,
