A song for a game.
Verse 1)
A future born out of the ashes of our ignorance. To the winds of change we pay severance.
Like the king without men, we held the key to our own humanity, but we threw it away.
Like a star shooting in the gapping night, Like the flake of snow caught in a storm,
We threw it to the dogs. And now we must become more than mortal. more than animal.
Our destiny is to out live the universe, out live the cage that hides us, to shine like beautiful stars.
Verse 2)
A wise man need not speak, only seek to reach, his bounadaries, however intangible.
A dreamer need not sleep, for he is always voyaging through the living fields,
A poet need not write, to keep his mind alight. for he is the holder of the might,
And gravity need not pull so hard, for we are all space men, from day one.
Chorus)
We lived below a Trojan Sky, as the people looked up and only saw space.
And now we fly through the first real episodes of man's great adventure,
And god only knows what we may encounter, on this, our persuit of intellectual treasure.
As the echo of yesterday rings in tomorrow's ears, it is ours to make the future out of beauty, not fear.
Verse 3)
And the melody of life, rattles the seat of the rich, with that thoushand yard itch,
the politics make a mockery of our souls, our of worth, of our being.
The fabric of our carbonated society, is to be, simply, more than this.
But as long as tyrants and the lords of war, rage battle on human earth,
our future can never be, without the chase of a greater way, there is only bitter decay,
B)
A bird need not fly, to reach the sky. A dream is all it takes.
