Thousands of Decades - A song about bubble gum.

Verse 1)

Like vapour to the air, a thick discoloration of dischord, are we transfixed to be bored?
Like color to black, or day to night, we awake and our hearts beat like thunderous rapture,
We are set to invade the future, to capture our civlization forever, and be together
Like the poets always dreamt, the thinker's always thought and the common man always wished,

Verse 2)

Like birds fallin from sky to land, we must not let life slip through our hand,
No one there to catch us when we hit the rocks, no one to play keeper to our dreams,
As our stars above glow so endlessly, we have all the power of a god with energy,
To change the future, for the better, until it's too late, until everyone good is gone and the earth is set to rust,
until it blows away with the dust, at what cost we'd never know, for the future can only be,
with us there, or it is merely dead space, without human face, without familar place, just earthly ruin

Chorus)

I see the future, so clearly, yet in many versions, as changing as my emotional state,
from happy futures to bleak wastelands, sometimes only the words of poets understand,
How this world could be, if we just got through the need for greed and money, for power that is not power,
for wealth that is not wealth, for control that is illusion.
Take away 3 of their meals and watch them turn on you like hungry dogs. watch them tear you apart.
This is not civlization it is martial law, we're in the barracades, and we have been for thousands of decades,
